Welcome to the resignation of Julio Varella
Nearly 30 years ago, I participated in a revolutionary marketing approach that forever changed the acquisition of long distance phone calling customers. The result was a substantial income that I enjoyed for many years.
Five months ago, I thought I'd found a similarly disruptive model of audience acquisition for digital advertising. But what began as a free registration to acquire Viewers who would be compensated for viewing digital media has turned out very differently from the way it was originally described to us.
Knowing that this company was a start-up, I knew there would be challenges. However, the changes that have been made to accommodate those challenges are inconsistent with my own professional standards, and I've determined I no longer can participate or recommend to others the products and/or services of THW Global. This is not a decision I have come to hastily: I’ve provided the founders multiple notices of my dissatisfaction and concern; I’ve listed for the founders more than a dozen ways in which I believe the company has been mistaken or unprofessional in its course of action; I’ve requested meetings so my concerns could be addressed and, in the event I were found to be mistaken, I might be corrected, and I have been rebuffed, told that my only access to information is through the IV SUPPORT link and my sponsor, whose opinions I now find as suspect as I find the company. Therefore:
Today I have resigned my position as an Independent International Viewer for THW Global.
Since direction and training by the company has been so sparse (there still is no posting of Policies and Procedures!) I've invested thousands of dollars in website design and maintenance and hundreds of hours in training, explanation, and support of the more than 216,000 International Viewers in my sales organization as well as many others outside my organization.
One of the motivations for this announcement is that I've received word through an intermediary (I still have no sure knowledge who the owners or administrators are!) that as of November 3, 2016, few of you have purchased the training or other programs which I now believe do not have the value or purpose for which they originally were intended: to provide an audience for digital advertising. That means that few of more than 216,000 friends in my THW Global organization have risked more than time, and I want to be certain that no one risks time or money because they believe I endorse a program I believe never materialized and which I find increasingly deviates from my own professional standards.
And I’m putting my money where my convictions are: I’ve informed the company I do not wish to be paid any commissions that may be owed me. I will be taking down my website TenHoursAWeek.com as well as my two Facebook pages Facebook.com/TenHoursAWeek and Facebook.com/thepapijulio. While I am disappointed by this outcome, I am not disappointed by the associations we have renewed and developed over the past five months. And I wish all of you well as we continue forward as friends.
